What is a Payscale?
Payscale management in fitDEGREE defines how instructors are compensated based on class type and experience level. Creating and assigning payscales ensures accurate payroll, structured pay increases, and bonus incentives while maintaining flexibility for different instructor levels.
Payscale Key Features:
- Applies to classes only (one-on-one payscales are separate).
- Sets base pay per class or per hour.
- Allows bonus structures (e.g., per check-in, total check-ins, or payment method bonuses).
- Customizable by experience level to scale compensation.

- Payment Method Bonus: Adjusts pay based on how clients paid (e.g., membership, drop-in, class pack).
6. Save & Assign to Class Groups
- Click "Create" to finalize the pay rule.
- Assign the payscale to class groups in the Edit Class Payscale tab.
- Click Update to save changes.
Things to Note
✅ Payscales must be assigned to each team member individually in their profile.
✅ New class groups require updating payscales manually—edit the payscale and attach a pay rule to the new group.
✅ Each payscale applies to multiple class groups but must be assigned per team member.
By structuring payscales correctly, you ensure accurate instructor compensation, incentive-based pay, and streamlined payroll management. ?
